And welcome back. Hope you had a lovely time praising Christ over the massing period, I know I did. Oh joy, it even snowed on Christmas day — a white Xmas no less! Like being a kid all over again, only bigger and with less presents.
New year celebrations were somewhat tempered thanks to mother Earth killing tens of thousands of innocent people with big waves. The media coverage has been copious, but necessarily so. Images such as this one merely hint at the devastation and loss of life caused.
But I've been welling with pride today as the whole of Europe spared three minutes of their daily lives to stand in silence. So many emotions, so few words, so just shut up and think about it for a while — a bizarre yet precious tradition. I suggest we all do it more often.
