Isn't the internet a wonderful place, full of people feeling hard done by: depressed people, goths, you name it they all love the internet. That’s why it doesn't surprise me that weblogs.com closing its free service has caused an angsty, bitchy response.
Weblogs.com offered free blogs, long before other sites and they've been around for a long time now but they were offering a completely free service. It's unreasonable to expect such a service to continue for ever, considering that bandwidth bills have to be paid monthly and I can't imagine they were cheap. The way they went about the switch was obviously annoying for some but that’s life, you've not lost your data as he's offered to send a copy to people who request it, so you can’t get that mad or can you:
| Oh yeah, my brother didn't post anything negative IN FEAR that you would not send him a copy of his weblog, But for me All I can say is I hope you fall and break one of your legs. Or you can burn up in any car accident you might have in the future. I do not have a blog with you so i will say what I can with out being afraid to speak my mind, I hope you get raped by a disease infested monkey. |
I don't understand why the internet combined with the feeling of being anonymous causes people to become raving lunatics. I very much doubt that this person would say the above to anyone on the street so why is it acceptable on the internet? Answers on the back of this invisible post card please.
